Security Procedures

At Terminal Entry

Present a valid government-issued photo ID and a print or digital copy of your boarding pass/air ticket to security personnel.

Prepare for Security Screening after Check-In

All passengers must pass through a security checkpoint before proceeding to the boarding area.

  1. Remove metal objects, belts, bracelets, and jackets and place them separately in blue trays for screening.
  2. Electronic items: Phones, laptops, smartwatches, and tablets should be placed separately in blue trays for screening. Certain electronic items, such as satellite phones and e-cigarettes, are prohibited.
  3. You may need to remove your shoes at airport security. Kindly use Red trays to keep your shoes separately.
  4. Liquids, Aerosols, and Gels (LAGs): Containers must not exceed 100ml. Multiple containers up to 1000ml must be placed in a transparent, resealable plastic bag.

Food & Films

Food and regular photographic films are safe to pass through the X-ray scanners.

Assistance For Special Category Passengers
  • Passengers with medical devices like pacemakers, prosthetic limbs or other medical needs should inform security staff for special handling.
  • Passengers can use self battery-operated wheelchairs and should notify security in advance for smooth screening and assistance. Check the reference for guidelines here.
  • Zones are available for passengers requiring additional assistance or who fall under special categories.

Baggage Regulations

Electronics, medications and personal essentials are allowed but must be removed from bags and screened separately. Articles like nail cutters, scissors, swiss knives and batteries are not allowed in hand luggage.

LAGs can only be carried in containers with a maximum capacity of 100 ml. Multiple containers of LAGs can be carried, max up to 1000 ml.

Exceptions apply for essential medicines and baby food (carry prescriptions if required).

If you lose an item during security screening or elsewhere in the airport, visit the Information desk or seek assistance from airport staff. Lost items are securely stored and can only be claimed after thorough verification. Passengers must present a valid government-issued ID along with specific details about the lost item, such as its description, location and time of loss.�
