New Delhi, April 10, 2025: Delhi Airport has been recognized as the Best Airport in India and South Asia at the prestigious 2025 World Airport Awards by Skytrax. Operated and managed by Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), a consortium led by GMR Airports Limited (GAL), Delhi Airport has improved its global ranking to 32 in 2025 from 36 in 2024, showcasing its continued growth and excellence. In addition to this recognition, Delhi Airport is placed at 8th spot among the world’s top 10 best airports in the 70+ million passenger category.
This marks the seventh consecutive year (2019–2025) that Delhi Airport has reaffirmed its status as a world-class aviation hub. Through continuous innovation, technology adoption, and future-ready initiatives, Delhi Airport remains on a steadfast path of progress.
The awards were presented at an official ceremony during the Passenger Terminal EXPO in Madrid, Spain, on April 9, 2025. The World Airport Awards, conducted by the global air transport rating organization Skytrax, are based on passenger feedback, assessing airport facilities, service excellence, and overall traveler experience.
The awards are determined through the World Airport Survey, with questionnaires completed by passengers from over 100 nationalities during a seven-month survey period.
